Najwa Karam in Zuhair Murad for Dubai Concert

The Lebanese singer and sweetheart, Najwa Karam, looked like the diva she truly is in a concert yesterday in Dubai (4th December 2012 - for future reference).

The Arabs Got Talent judge looked ever so fierce, wearing a gown designed by non other than the Lebanese fashion designer, Zuhair Murad. It is clear that Mr Murad and Miss Karam have a great friendship, as the Diva is always seen wearing one of his beautiful dresses for her concerts. (You can see a couple of the other dresses she has worn in my previous posts)

I feel as though this dress is very fiery, obviously with the help of the colours in it.. And they are definitely not colours you'd consider wearing together, but Zuhair Murad goes against all the odds, and makes a masterpiece in the form of a dress, and it is clear that Najwa Karam favours those colour blocking dresses, as she has worn colours like blue and yellow, purple and pink, and orange and pink (or 'purpink' because we couldn't decide if it was pink or purple) which really suited her, so it is no surprise that she decided to choose a dress of that nature again, and of course all of the dresses I speak of have been designed by the one and only, Zuhair Murad!

The thing I like the most about this dress is the black section in the middle, that seems to have some sort of gradient to it, which makes the waist appear a lot smaller than it actually is, and makes the upper part of the body and the hip area bigger, making her have a an hourglass figure, which what most women want in a dress. Also, in helping make the hips look bigger, it seems as though the hip area of the dress has been even more exaggerated, which makes the dress look even more interesting and makes her look like the Diva she truly is, and of course the hairstyle contributes to this fierceness.
I have never been keen on yellow, but this dress has definitely changed my mind for sure.

Katy Perry in Elie Saab at the 2012 Hammer Gala

American songstress, Katy Perry wowed with this amazing dress at 2012 Hammer Gala in the Hammer Museum in Westwood, California.

The 27 year old wore a nude, full length embroidered boatneck long sleeve dress designed by Lebanese fashion designer, Elis Saab. This dress is from the designer's Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection. The gown was accessorised with a cream belt with a gold buckle detailing.

This is not the first time that the "Wide Awake" singer has opted for an Elie Saab dress, and every time she does opt for the designer's creations, she makes it look effortless, yet flawless!

I love how the dress can keeping the audience guessing, and is not too revealing, and the colour of the dress has an input in making the dress look very elegant, yet electrifying at the same time.

Najwa Karam in Zuhair Murad at Abu Dhabi 'Eedkum wa Farhitkum'

Lebanese singer, fashion icon and Rotana superstar Najwa Karam, who is also known as The Sun of the Arabian Song in the Middle East wore a dress designed by Lebanese Fashion Designer Zuhair Murad... This is not the first time that Najwa Karam opts for a Zuhair Murad dress, and I'm pretty sure it won't be her last, as the Diva is known for always opting for his designs, and I can't blame her, Zuhair Murad's designs are truly beautiful...

The dress that the singer chose is in fact from the designer's 'Skin Flowers Fall 2012/2013', the dress featured two colours; green and purple, with a featherly like green trail at the back, that floated ever so gracefully as the 'Arabs Got Talent' judge walked around the stage. The singer matched the dress with a green pair of very high high-heels.

This is one of my favourite Zuhair Murad dresses, I love how the dress is very figure-hugging, accentuating the waist, which is the ultimate target when it comes to wearing a dress. I also love how the purple bit of the dress is slightly floaty at the bottom, which adds some balance to the dress. Now onto the most interesting part of the dress - the featherly green trail, which contrasts the colour of the main part of the dress, it's such a great idea and it definitely adds an unusual 'move' to the dress.
Now that's one way a Diva can own the stage!

Beyonce in Marc Bouwer for World Humanitarian Day Performance

Singer, songwriter, record producer and actress, Beyonce Knowles wore a breathtaking, floor-length white gown, as she performs for the General Assembly at the United Nations on Friday, August 10th, in New York City.

Queen B showed off her infamous hourglass figure in a sparkling white embellished gown from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection by South African raised fashion designer, Marc Bouwer. The body-hugging floor-length dress featured long sleeves, the dress also included a very interesting cap-sleeve, which was attached overlay for a little dimension - I particularly love that bit. I also love the cutout at the bust and crew-neckline, it definitely added a lot more to the dress, considering the colour.

The dress feels almost miraculous, everything about the dress is simply yet beautiful... The colour, the cutout, the length, the sleeve detailing and of course, my personal favourite, the texture of the dress - the glittering embellishments.

Fashion at the Olympics

Here comes the girls, girls, girls... and man.
The fashion at the olympics certainly didn't disappoint, the British models looked dazzling in gold last night at the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony, all obviously wearing the best of the British fashion.

The British Beauties arrived on stage in style, hidden inside lorries with their pictures on the outside, the lorries were driven into the stadium while David Bowie's 'Fashion' was playing - so appropriate! The images then dropped to reveal the models inside, who then stepped onto a catwalk and strutted in style wearing those lovely dresses, shown in the picture above.

Starting from the left-hand side of the picture; Top model and actress, Lily Cole looked so innocent wearing a brocade detailed dress with sheer panels designed by Erdem; Stella Tennant, went for a more controversial look, as she shimmered in a twinkling chain-mail ensemble by Christopher Kane; Model, song-writer and guitarist, Karen Elson modelled in a thigh-high dress designed by the brilliant Burberry; One of the most famous faces in British fashion, Kate Moss wore a gold sequinned dress designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton; Lily Donaldson owned the stage wearing a sequined off-the-shoulder strumpet gown by Vivienne Westwood; Super Model, Naomi Campbell also wore a dress designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton; Georgia May Jagger wore a flare-skirted number by Victoria Beckham; Jourdan Dunn wore a white and gold column dress by Jonathon Saunders, she accessorised the look with a Stephen Jones head-dress; and last, but certainly not least, is the only male model, David Gandy, who wore a Paul Smith suit.

The face of Rimmel London, Kate Moss, looked so elegant and flawless wearing this beautiful dress designed by no other than Britain's very own, Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton.

Moss definitely worked the dress, making sure she's the talk of the town. I just love how the gold sequinned dress was reflecting off all the Olympic lights.

Although I know that Kate Moss isn't particularly famous for her curvy body, this dress did make her appear somewhat curvy, and that is something I love!

The dress has a train at the back, and I don't think that the train really fits in with the dress, otherwise, the dress is simply beautiful, I mean it's designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, it's guaranteed to be beautiful!

Super Model, Naomi Campbell also wore a dress designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, and the dress most definitely did not disappoint, as the model looked fierce and owned the catwalk with it.

This is actually my favourite dress out of the rest, I absolutely love the embellishment on dress, it adds so much to the look, I also liked how the dress is not fully open from the top, bearing in mind it's very short, and I particularly love the trail at the back, that flew ever so fiercely behind her as she did the 'Naomi Campbell Walk' down the catwalk.

I only have love for this dress, and there is nothing I would change from this Warrior Princess look!

Blake Lively in Zuhair Murad & Gucci in 'Savages' Premieres

Actress Blake Lively, who's most famous for her role as 'Serena Van De Woodsen' in hit TV show 'Gossip Girl', wore this exceptional Zuhair Murad Couture dress for the Premiere of her new film, 'Savages'.

The Actress showed off her figure in this amazing curve-hugging dress as she stepped out onto the LA Red Carpet on 25th June, I love how the nude dress with the "intricate pattern of hand-embroidered black beading" accentuates her flawless curves, the dress has less spaced-out black lines around the waist to make it seem smaller, and more spaced-out black horizontal lines to make her hips appear bigger, which is obviously the target... As having a big bottom is definitely this season, JLO and Kim Kardashian clearly follow and embrace this trend.

As for the New York Premiere, the actress wore this ever so elegant, lemon coloured Gucci gown on 27th June. Again, the Actress wore a dress that showed off her waist... I love the bandage-like look wraps around her waist to make it seems even smaller. I also, love how the colour of the dress is very bright and summery, and styling the look with those turquoise earrings is just perfect!

The actress also features in Gucci's Gucci Première perfume ad, so there's no surprise that she's wearing a Gucci dress!

Elissa Chooses McQueen for New Album 'As3ad Wa7da'

So I've only just recently purchased Elissa's new album 'As3ad Wa7da', and of course, the first thing I noticed was the very elegant and dreamy dress that she's wearing... and I soon found out that the dress was designed by none other than the brilliant Alexander McQueen.

I think that the puffed sleeves add to the whole fairytale-like theme of the whole album, and the colour of the dress is very light and summery which perfectly fits in with its release date, also, the colour of the dress is very romantic which fits in with the style of her songs in general.

I usually don't like dresses that fall down very early on; I prefer a dress to show and accentuate the waist, though not in this case, as a fitted dress wouldn't suit the romantic theme of the album. Though having said that, in other shots, she does add fierce belt on her waist, which gives the dress just a little bit for more life and makes it a lot more interesting!

Make sure you buy Elissa's album now on iTunes!

Najwa Karam opts for Zuhair Murad at Carthage

The Sun of the Arabian Song, 'Arabs Got Talent' judge and the first Middle Eastern face/ambassador of L'Oreal Paris, Najwa Karam wears this sparkly, eye-catching dress by the very successful Lebanese designer, Zuhair Murad.

Personally, I love how the sparkly detailing fades towards the bottom of the dress, it just adds more attention to the top part of the dress, where the dress' neckline opens in an unusual, yet interesting zigzag pattern, this adds a sense of fierceness to the dress, this is clearly one way the singer uses to 'own' the stage. The dress is fierce, yet not over the top.
As I've mentioned in my previous post, the mermaid-like dresses are becoming increasingly popular... I mean, one of the most successful and popular Arabic singer is following the trend!

Najwa Karam usually always opts to wear a dress designed by Zuhair Murad, and I don't blame her! His designs are truly stunning, you can tell that he puts great time and work into his designs to make them the masterpieces that they are. His designs are always chic, classy and stylish.
This particular dress actually reminds me of a dress I previously designed, it's almost exactly the same, so I obviously love this dress! :)

Rochelle Wiseman's Vera Wang Wedding

Here comes the bride...
The Saturdays bandmate Rochelle Wiseman, now Humes (after marrying JLS bandmate Marvin Humes) wore this amazing Vera Wang wedding gown.

Rochelle revealed to 'Hello!' magazine that this dress was the first she tried on, saying "It had to be Vera Wang... To me, Vera Wang’s designs are the ultimate. I knew I’d find my dream dress in her collection and I did."

Well, as far as the dress goes, I think that she made a great choice... These mermaid-like dresses are becoming increasingly popular, especially when you have a body like Rochelle's.. Why hide them curves in a puffy dress?
If you zoom a little bit into the dress, you'll find that the upper part of the dress is somewhat embellished? That makes the dress a lot more interesting! And of course, not forgetting the most eye-catching part of the dress: The Ruffles!

I can safely say that overall, the dress is simply beautiful.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Humes! :)
